Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Do I have to make costumes?

    No, we hire out costumes

  2. Are there any other costs besides the term fees?

There is a $15.00 costume levy for parents who don't want to help make costumes, and costume hire is $25 for the first costume, and $20 for costumes after that.

  3. Is there a concert?

Yes, our annual performance is held at the Mahon Theatre at Aquinas College, Ringwood, in early December

  4. The term has already started, is it too late to start?

No, students can begin anytime in the term and the fees are calculated for the remaining weeks.

  5. Where do I buy the uniform?

Dancewear can be bought from Danceart in Croydon (see our links page) and

Bloche shops are in most major shopping centres (but not Eastland)

Pale pink leotards are also available from Target.

The school shirts are available from the studio.

  6. Do you have any second hand uniforms?

We have a second hand book in the cupboard where a list of second hand uniforms and shoes are listed. Second hand items are not kept at the studio due to lack of space and their ability to multiply and get lost.

  7. Do you do exams?

We do the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for classical ballet, and D.F.T..A for tap, but we don't do exams for the other styles of dance.

  8. Can I do private lessons?

Absolutely! Students do private lessons for a number or reasons; to build their confidence and skills, audition preparation, competition rehearsal and exam preparation.

  9. Do you do competitions?

We do on a small scale. Mainly solos, duos and trios. Any student who is wishing do do competition pieces may contact the school to arrange lessons for competition preparation.

  10. My child has never danced before, does that matter?

Definitely not, everyone has to start somewhere!
