About Jill…
Having started dance in Mildura at the age of 4, dance has always been a major part of my life. It was at the age of 12 that a young enthusiastic contemporary dance teacher entered my world, she was fresh out of the Victorian College of the Arts I knew that was where I wanted to direct my future in a career in dance. It was from that nurturing of my passion for dance from a teacher, that I feel I have now reach a pinnacle of that goal, being a mentor and inspiration to my own students.
At the age of 12 I began helping teach classes, which evolved into having my own classes and choreographing competition pieces. In the search for the opportunity to take my creative ideas into the public, owning a dance school became a part of that direction. Aspect Motion School of dance is that avenue to re-create the dance in a small vibrant arts community I had growing up, and make the passion of dance accessible to every family and child.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) from the Victorian College of the Arts, I undertook an Advanced Diploma of Screen to facilitate my dance film making. It was during the final stage of this course that the opportunity arose to take the reins of Aspect Motion School of dance, and so began my jouney to re-create the same level of vibrancy and enthusiasm that led me to a career in dance. As well as being an accredited RAD ballet teacher; I am the director of contemporarydances.com which is a website that delivers an unstructured syllabus of contemporary dance exercises to dance teachers in academic and private dance schools.

Our mission is to provide the opportunities, the methodology and the enjoyment to have students continue to nurture their passion for dance, throughout their time at Aspect Motion School of Dance as far as they wish their training to take them. We achieve this through our well rounded dance program, including a variety of dance styles, body conditioning classes and acrobatics. At Aspect Motion School of Dance we have succeeded in having had students who have gone from a basic level of dance to a higher level of professional training. We have now qualified them to move forward to the next higher level of learning on the way to their career in dance
Our vision, and hence the policy of Aspect Motion school of Dance is to develop a series of guarantees to give our parents peace of mind as to where their children are studying. Parents know that they have direct access to the principal of the school at any time, if you have a problem or a challenge with what we are teaching or how we are going about it. We are open to discussion, and we have a policy in place in our multi-level guarantee that will allow us to move your child into another class if they’re not enjoying it, because our job at Aspect Motion is to facilitate the enjoyment in learning dance.
At Aspect Motion School of Dance we are aim to maximise the benefits for our students and their parents, whether it just be a fun after school activity, or a pathway to a career. We’re in the area of facilitating dance teaching and enjoyment, and above all, we are in the business of happiness.
